Postpartum Planning Session
Planning for your postpartum can be super helpful. In these sessions I can help set up support for you involving your current support network including friends, family, and your local services.
I will meet with you during your third trimester, to discuss your ideal postpartum. This could look like organising a meal train with your friends, helping arrange family visits and setting boundaries, empowering you to ask for help with daily household tasks, supplying a resource package of your local services etc.
We will also cover baby care education such as bathing, swaddling, breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, sleep expectations, baby-wearing, and bonding.
We will talk about your expectations around your emotional responses and physical recovery in postpartum and how you can manage the realities.
If you have a partner, or someone who will be living with you or closely supporting you after the birth, it is worthwhile for them to attend these sessions, too, so they can better understand what you might be going through and how to support you more effectively.

Knowledge is power. The more you know, the better set up you will be for your birth. The maternity system can be confusing and overwhelming, particularly if you are a first-time parent. And for people having subsequent births who may want a different experience than they had first time round, gaining extra knowledge about the physiology of birth and your maternity care options is a great place to start.
I will come to your home for 2x private sessions, or join a group workshop spaced over 2 weekly sessions. Please get in touch for more details on these educational workshops.

I will cook and deliver wholesome meals and snacks to your home weekly, for 6 weeks. Extra deliveries are available by negotiation. I can prepare and cook the meals in your own home if you prefer. You can choose 6 meals and 6 snacks (either sweet or savoury) to receive over 6 weeks.
